This Privacy Policy describes how IM Mechanical Inc collects, uses, and protects information when you use the IM Mechanical mobile application.
Account Information: Name, role, company code, and PIN.
Location Data: The App collects precise location including background location while you are clocked in, used solely to:
Background location is only active while clocked in. It is never collected otherwise.
Work Activity Data: Clock-in/out times, daily logs, deficiency reports, RFIs, change orders, material requests, photos, and project records.
Device Information: Push notification tokens for work-related alerts.
The App requests ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION to monitor proximity to job sites while clocked in. A prominent disclosure is shown in the app before this permission is requested. You may deny this permission; the automatic geofence exit alert will not function without it. No location data is collected when you are not clocked in.
Data is shared only with your employer for payroll and project management, and with service providers necessary to operate the App (cloud hosting, Firebase push notifications). We do not sell your data.
Work records are retained for the duration of employment and up to 7 years as required by labour and tax regulations. Contact your company administrator to request deletion.
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Access is protected by company-scoped authentication. No data is shared across companies.
The App is for employees 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
